My inspiration for this blog was my love of soccer. I’ve played soccer all my life and I was brought up in a household revolved around soccer. I initially wanted to start this site to provide soccer fans and soccer players with trick and shot tutorials that they can then further use in their soccer games or even just for fun! This site would be perfect for people that want to start learning soccer to the more skilled players that just want some help perfecting their skills. My name—if you don’t know already—is Robin. I’m currently 20 years young attending the University of Tampa. I was born and raised in Aruba, but I’m originally Dutch. Being from Aruba, I’ve been exposed to a lot of soccer through out the years. At one point I played in Jamaica every year for three years straight; this soccer tournament was originally started to bring some of the best soccer teams from different schools all around the Caribbean together to compete in a tournament. My position on the team was striker, but sometimes I would have the role of a ‘false nine’ which is just someone who falls back a little to get defenders off their line so set pieces can be created. I was also the captain of the team both on the school team and a club team. My main interest is soccer and it has been soccer for as long as I can remember.
The title of my blog is Soccer For Everyone because I decided that I shouldn’t just entertain the soccer community but everyone else too; I want everybody to be entertained. The title speaks for itself because this site really is made for everyone even people that aren’t into soccer and hopefully this site can also convert people to the love of soccer and have people understand that soccer is the best sport.
